Brite Box and DofE logos

We welcome students aged 14-18 to get involved in the BRITE Box project as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Awards. With opportunities to volunteer, fundraise or improve their own cooking skills!

  • Students can volunteer to help pack the weekly BRITE Boxes in our dedicated Duke of Edinburgh session on Thursdays after school 4pm - 5.30pm (term time only)
  • They can also help with our fundraising events or come up with fundraising ideas of their own with support from our team
  • We are now offering a 10-week Duke of Edinburgh Award Cooking Skills course. Students will learn a variety of food handling, preparation and cooking techniques. Ingredients are provided and participants take home the recipes and food they have prepared to share with their families. The 10-week course costs £150 to cover the costs of tuition, equipment, ingredients and a small donation to BRITE Box. However we don't want cost to be a barrier to participation so if you have any questions please email

Please complete the Duke of Edinburgh Volunteering Opportunities and Cooking Skills Course form and we shall be in touch. For an easy reminder, please see our flyer here.

Thank you for your interest in getting involved!
