Establishing a culture of healthy living for all, with an ethos of ''by the community, for the community'', The Good Food Co-op aims to make the provision of healthy food accessible to all. We provide fruit and veg boxes at competitive market rates where every full-priced box purchased helps a local family or individual in need to receive a box. Many communities have been on a significant journey experiencing both the extensive, negative impact of COVID-19, but also the incredible community response to help those in need. As our response increasingly co-ordinated across the Borough, the need became apparent to not only provide emergency crisis relief through foodbanks, but also to develop a sustainable and fully accessible food co-op, where income is not a barrier to healthy, fresh food. This is where the idea of The Good Food Co-op was born! The Good Food Co-op is an initiative led by Voices of Hope and KingsGate Church with support from Royal Borough of Kingston-Upon-Thames and Kingston Voluntary Action.
