Introduction to Partnering
To date, BRITE Box is delivered by over 25 partner schools and 4 partner organisations, in 7 different UK Boroughs. We work with local businesses, charities, faith groups, local and national funders, educational establishments, local authorities and the NHS. In each area, BRITE Box is a wonderful expression of local collaborative community action and has been an instant success with families.
Examples of partnerships include:
- Schools:
Our partner schools identify families that will most benefit from receiving BRITE Boxes and work hard to involve the project within the wider school curriculum.
- Business:
Anjuna Beats (record label business) funds BRITE Box in Southwark and sends staff to volunteer. The Real Butchers (www.therealbutchers.co.uk), PJ Dale’s Butchers (www.pjdale.co.uk) and Station Fruiterers (Worcester Park): provide preferential rates for large orders and fundraise in their stores for BRITE Box.
- Local Authority:
Royal Borough of Kingston council funds BRITE Box for whole classes in RBK’s most deprived schools.
- Voluntary Sector:
South London Mission, Vibe Armagh and Lower Green Community Centre run BRITE Box operations in Southwark, Armagh (Northern Ireland) and Elmbridge.
- Community interest groups:
Many groups (e.g. Scouts, Brownies and Cubs, churches) mobilise their children to fundraise through our Superstars programme.
- Education:
Kingston University independently evaluated BRITE Box over the last two years enabling changes and improvements to the project.
- Faith sector:
KingsGate Church hosts Voices of Hope and BRITE Box offices and operations free of charge.
