Volunteer

BRITE Box has an incredibly hard working and dedicated team of central and remote volunteers. Our volunteers bring their diverse experiences and skills to help us reach as many people as we can. Roles are wide ranging and include; preparation of food for BRITE Boxes, design, administration, grant writing, photography, collecting food and delivering boxes, fundraising, social media and website upkeep, recipe design and development, and representing BRITE Box at community events.

Whether you’ve got a short amount of time to spare, or can make a regular commitment, in-person or remotely, you can make a difference to people’s lives.

  • Training in your role

All volunteer positions are subject to references and a trial period.
To apply for any role please fill in the Volunteer Expression of Interest Form. We will then be in touch about arranging a meeting to discuss volunteering options with you.

Please note: As per our safeguarding policy, you will be asked to supply 1-2 personal references prior to beginning volunteering with us.  For roles working with vulnerable individuals, a DBS check will be necessary (we will let you know if that is the case).

Please note: All data given will be held in line with our data protection policy.

Please note: The following projects run on specific days only, so if you want to volunteer for those, you will need to be available on the days and times they run.

- BRITE Box: Thursday & Friday
- Women's Hub: Monday & Tuesday (for Hub sessions like Sisterhood Choir, Sanctuary, exercise classes, etc.)

Independant Advocate – Women’s Services 

Karen is our independent advocate who works supporting women who need help with accessing services or rights they are entitled to, and admin needs. She works at Kingston and also at our Elmbridge Women’s hub.
