Local Authorities
BRITE Box addresses the increased impact of food scarcity upon children, offering children and families the opportunity to try new, healthy foods and develop a love for cooking. Families develop healthy eating habits and learn new cooking skills. This in turn builds resilience in health and mental well being for the long term. We are addressing the relationship of food scarcity, to poor outcomes, obesity, entrenched and long term systemic issues, emotional and behavioural problems and educational disadvantage. We intend to have a significant long-term impact by raising awareness in families of the benefits of healthy eating through a “hands on” and fun practical experience. This creates a sustainable habit of healthy cooking as part of family life and decreases health inequality.
We have established excellent relationships with local authorities, partnering together to impact the lives of those most in need.
