  1. Peel and chop the onion and garlic.
  2. Peel and grate the carrot.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, add the onion and garlic and fry for 3-4 minutes until golden.
  4. Add in the grated carrot and fry for 2 more minutes.
  5. Add in the mince and fry on a medium heat until brown. Then stir in the tomato puree.
  6. In the saucepan, bring 1.5 litres of cold water to the boil, ready for the spaghetti.
  7. In a jug, dissolve the stock cube in 250ml boiled water (from the kettle) and add to the mince. Stir well.
  8. Add the herbs and the tinned tomatoes.
  9. When the mixture starts to bubble, turn the heat down to low.
  10. Season with salt and pepper and allow to simmer for 15 minutes.
  11. Add the spaghetti to the boiling water, allowing it to soften and submerge in the water.
  12. Season with a pinch of salt and cook for 10-12 minutes on a medium heat.
  13. Once the Bolognese sauce has cooked for 12 minutes, add in the frozen peas.
  14. Mix well and cook together for the last 2-3 minutes.
  15. Drain the spaghetti using a colander.
  16. Portion out on to the plates and pour your Bolognese sauce on the top.
  17. Enjoy a lovely home made ‘spag bol’!
