About Us

Who We Are

Voices of Hope is a locally founded charity in Kingston Upon Thames with a big heart to inspire hope and create change through community-based projects. The Active Breathing Course is a six week, NHS approved, online and in-person course. Through controlled breath work and creative exercises, ABC is tailored to support recovery and long term wellbeing with the help and guidance of our specialist tutors.

Due to its success locally, ABC is now accessible across the UK and is particularly, though not exclusively, focussed on reaching those who are suffering from a long term, ongoing respiratory condition, breathlessness, disordered breathing, anxiety or fatigue.

Whether you are an individual looking for help, a business wanting to support the wellbeing of your employees, or a healthcare service/charity, the Active Breathing Course brings tailored, effective support.

What We Do

Our mission
Voices of Hope’s mission is to restore people, give them hope to rebuild their lives, and to equip them both practically and emotionally. With ABC, we aim to achieve this through progressively teaching diaphragmatic breathing, controlled breathwork and intercostal muscle strengthening exercises. Our approach is always creative, inspiring and empowering.

Our vision
Voices of Hope’s vision is to work together to transform lives through compassion, dignity, encouragement and empowerment.

At Voices of Hope we take the safeguarding and wellbeing of both adults and children very seriously and we work closely with the Charity Commission and local organisations to ensure we provide a safe environment for anyone accessing our services, volunteers and staff and that we are up to date with safeguarding training. Our safeguarding lead is always happy to support anyone with a concern or to give advice and can be contacted via email
