Our Places
This summer marks an exciting new chapter as we establish a stronger community presence across East Surrey and Kingston.
For many years, Voices of Hope has delivered programmes from a wide range of community settings, including schools, churches, health services and partner organisations. As our work has grown, we’ve had the opportunity to establish a number of permanent community bases that will enable us to work more closely alongside local communities.
Over the coming months, we’ll be establishing ourselves across three locations: Walton Community Centre, Hersham Centre for the Community and Kingston Library.
Each place has its own identity and purpose, reflecting the needs, opportunities and partnerships within its local community. Together, these places represent our long-term commitment to working alongside local communities, creating welcoming environments where people of all ages can build relationships, contribute their skills and access support when they need it.
We know that every community is different. That’s why our approach isn’t to arrive with a fixed programme or assume we know what’s needed. Instead, we’re taking time to listen to residents, volunteers, existing centre users and local organisations, understanding what people value most and how we can build on the strengths that already exist. Alongside this, we’ll bring some of Voices of Hope’s own experience and expertise in areas such as women’s wellbeing, children’s health and nutrition, volunteering and community development, complementing the excellent work already taking place.
As these new places develop, they will continue to evolve. Some activities will be familiar, others will be new, but our aim remains the same: to work alongside local people and partners to serve the local community.

Walton Community Centre
Our organisational base, home to Surrey Women’s Hub, and a wider vibrant community hub, bringing together local activities, volunteering, partnerships and opportunities for people of all ages.
Hersham Centre for the Community
Building on Hersham’s strong community spirit by working alongside local residents, volunteers and organisations, while also becoming our East Surrey base for children’s health and nutrition programmes supporting local families.
Kingston Library
Our new Kingston office base, working in partnership with Kingston Library to build on its important role at the heart of Kingston and explore new ways of using the space to support local people and strengthen community life.
