Wal ton Community Centre
A vibrant community hub at the heart of Walton
Walton Community Hub is becoming Voices of Hope’s organisational base and one of our principal community places.
In partnership with Walton Charity, we are working alongside local residents, volunteers and community organisations to build on everything that already makes Walton Community Hub such an important part of local life, while helping it continue to grow as a welcoming and sustainable community space for the future.
Alongside existing community groups, the Hub will be home to Voices of Hope’s Surrey Women’s Hub, supporting women affected by domestic abuse and other hardship disadvantages through advocacy, wellbeing activities, peer support and pathways into volunteering and leadership.
As we begin this next chapter, we’re taking time to get to know existing users, understand what people value most and build on the Centre’s many strengths.
What you’ll find at Walton
As the Centre develops, Walton will become home to:
- Community activities and events
- Surrey Women’s Hub
- Community café
- Volunteering opportunities
- Local partnerships and shared services
- Wellbeing programmes
- Office base for Voices of Hope
Working alongside the community
We recognise that Walton Community Hub has been an important part of local life for many years.
Our ambition is to build on that legacy by working alongside existing groups, residents and volunteers to develop a Hub that remains welcoming, inclusive and financially sustainable for future generations.
Most activities will continue, some scheduling will adjust, and there will be a host of new ones that will develop over time as we continue listening to the community.
